I would like to introduce my Veterinarian Dr. Jenkins
I call him Doc --- 'The Mad Chemist'
This page is dedicated to him and all the staff who have gone overboard to help me with all of my dogs. We have saved, stitched, and delivered puppies by C-Sections, to name a few of the precious moments we have all shared. If it where not for Doc and his gals I have no idea where I would be. He works very closely with me with any concerns or questions I might have. He has educated me beyond his duty as my veterinarian. A 5 star man! Last visit I got to learn how to squeeze an anal gland. Whoopee, I can't wait to experience that. LOL
Just to give you an idea of who Doc is as a person -- He has taught at our local college and stood at the podium of his church. He has days where he allows the students watch him preform surgeries and slowly explains every step he is doing to help the animal. He has the patience of a great teacher but has no room for excuses on bad animal ownership. I would throw out a guess that he went into this business because he loves animals as he carries a great deal of emotion for our feathered and furry friends. I saw tears in his eyes when he saved a very sick puppy I had shipped in. We thought for sure he was going to die, and to save that little guy was a 24 - 7 job for both of us.
I have watched his skill in many surgeries and seen his deep concentration in his chemistry room. I think his favorite place is in the room with all the analyzing machines, and I do joke with him about being a mad chemist. Maybe someday he will invent a new cure for our four legged family members.
Doc is a very busy man and is needed by many people in our valley, he puts in time beyond the call of duty to help all the folks here. Never a moments rest and spends everyday at the hospital taking care of all the sick creatures himself.
He has carefully trained all his staff to work with all the patients and they do a great job caring for the everyday needs such as this teeth cleaning for this German Short Hair Hunting Dog.
He keeps an eye on them and checks the patients through out their entire procedure.
You will even get a complete health examination on your pet during this time.
Doc has worked many years with large animals however at this time he is so busy with the small ones that he doesn't have time to visit the farms and ranches. I wish there where two of him so he could come and tend my horses too.
His office has a nice comfortable warm touch, the staff is amazing, and he has a retail section that covers all the necessities you will need. Even lots of fun toys and the proper chew bones to keep all the animals here in the Kern River Valley happy.
I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Doc and all the staff for the kindness, understanding and help I have received from you with all my dachshund needs.
You can call him for a reference for me as a breeder, he will probably chuckle and tell you I come in way to much for advice and help with all my fur kids. I think I drive him crazy sometimes but in the past 4 years we have grown to know each other and he has helped to educate me to be the best I can be as a breeder. I have come along way in my knowledge of health care because of him.
Doc has bred and shown dogs in the past years and is always on the same page as I am to breed for the best conformation and temperament possible to give you a faithful healthy family member.
I do not breed dogs for aggressiveness, ground work, guard dogs and most of all I do not breed a pair of dachshunds to compromise each others faults.
I breed the best to the best to get the BEST!
Healthy Happy Weiner Dogs for you to sleep with!
